About the Artist

Leslie Lockhart has painted professionally since 2004 in her studio located in historic Huntsville, Alabama. Leslie has been creative all her life but became immersed in painting as an outlet while raising her two boys. With a degree in interior design, Leslie uses her training in color, scale, and texture to create beautiful paintings from simple subjects that evoke a sense of southern nostalgia. From farmers market finds to grazing animals or birds flying overhead, Leslie captures everyday moments and surroundings in a way that draws the viewer in.

Leslie has studied with renowned artists from across the country. Her paintings are featured in numerous corporate collections including Huntsville Hospital, United Community Bank, Clearview Cancer Institute and at defense contracting firms Kord Technologies and SPARTA, Inc. among others.
