Jennifer Stottle Taylor
Oil/interiors, landscapes, still life, figures, animals
“Art is an internal matter. Once you have the education, the ability to express emotive thoughts and feelings on a 2D canvas about any subject is a brave adventure and a wild exploration into the unknown. This presents unlimited paths to a final work of art. It is like falling in love over and over again.”
About the Artist
Jennifer Taylor is an award-winning, internationally-known impressionist artist. Jennifer grew up in Monrovia, a rural area near Huntsville, Alabama—riding horses and surrounded by animals and wildlife. She currently resides on a small farm in Taft, Tennessee with her husband and horses, cats, and dogs.
Jennifer has always been an artist—drawing from life since she can remember—but chose it as a profession in 2010. Since then, she has flourished and painted animals, interiors, landscapes, figures, and still life; and she participates in competitions and shows across the country. She has also traveled to Europe, Guatemala, Mexico and India for art residencies, to paint plein air and to teach art.
Painting pet portraits is essentially what catapulted Jennfer’s career in 2010, and she continues to take commissions alongside her other studio and plein air work.
Artist Statement
“I love to share my talent with others and I constantly strive to say more with less, minimize brushstrokes, and paint with a minimal color palette. I believe that art is an internal exploration and can lead a person down many paths of discovery. I love exploring and pushing boundaries…. because there are no boundaries.”
Jennifer’s work can also be seen at Little Green Store in Huntsville, Alabama and DragonFLY Gallery in Fayetteville, Tennessee
